Wrapping text in a row would allow users to reduce clicks into each record as they may be able to read the necessary information to the record without having to navigate through the record. Today you have to click into each record as most information is cut off / not visible due to wrapping.

I second Joshua. We'd like D365 to have "DetailsList - Variable Row Heights" that is shown at https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/fluentui#/controls/web/detailslist/variablerowheights
