Imagine that I need to change image A that is already in the report with image B that is stored in my PC.
Image A has a certain width, height, X Position, Y Position and link. I would like to change to image B but maintaining the format of image A. Is it possible?
Right now in order to get what I want I need to:
- insert image B
- copy format from image A to apply the same link to image B
- manually modify width, height, X Position and Y Position by copying from image A
- delete image A
- update bookmark
It's a really tedious process, especially if you have to modify multiple images and you are working with multiple bookmarks. It would be nice if you could simply replace the image keeping the format.

RE: Replace one image with another while keeping its format
Currently it is not possible to change existing image while preserving formatting since it requires adding new image and reformatting. This feature can be very similar to change picture function in Power Point. This is also helpful for themes with placeholder images.
RE: Replace one image with another while keeping its format
mimic functionality that exists in PowerPoint. This will allow a change of a picture within PowerBI Desktop and maintain all attributes (including selection and bookmark settings) of existing picture/image.
I have embedded instructional manual as a picture on each page of a dashboard and whenever there is a change to the manual I have to change out the picture which requires a ton of changes to the bookmarks and selection panes.
RE: Replace one image with another while keeping its format
If you use images on your report and you happen to have the need to change a few of them, you will have to remove the old and insert new ones, having all the hassle of dimensioning and positioning all over again.
Instead it would be great to be able to replace the image with a property on the Visualizations panel.
Thank you
