Create multiple apps from same workspace infect from same Dataset without replicating the dataset multiple times. only option we have now is to update the app and only one app per workspace can be created which a kind of restrict the workspace usability. If we can create multiple apps share it with different users without creating multiple workspace ... means same dataset no dataset replication, will save the storage as well.

RE: Create multiple apps from same workspace
This is an obvious basic need for any organization. I talked to many program managers and they still don't believe in this feature! This is nothing to do with shared datasets.
Imagine there is a report that you need to publish to 2 apps (for various security reasons), in the current 1-1 you need to upload that report to 2 workspaces and then publish it to the relevant apps.
RE: Create multiple apps from same workspace
well, shared dataset are great, but it by no means elimate the need for being able to create more apps from the same workspace.
there is a high need to share reports accross audiences, so they just need like 1 or 2 reporting of other departments, but shouldn't be able to see every other reporting.
Solving this with shared dataset only will lead to endless duplicated reports, making it not manable in the future.
RE: Create multiple apps from same workspace
Is there an update on this? Is it on the roadmap?
RE: Create multiple apps from same workspace
Allowing multiple apps from the same "workspace" is no longer "would be nice", but a necessity. I would even say that not allowing multiple apps from the same workspace, it should be seen as a "Bug" and treated urgently. Implementing this feature (eliminating this limitation) would add enormous value to the product and its customers. So, Microsoft, buy that idea and implement it ASAP, pls.
RE: Create multiple apps from same workspace
any progress in this regard Admin? Same workspace and multiple apps. This will be a blessing, and we will exhaust storage space creating copies of same report in multiple workspace for multiple apps. Please do the needful asap
RE: Create multiple apps from same workspace
Agree with the comments below.
RE: Create multiple apps from same workspace
An update on this Top 20 Idea would be very much appreciated, I won't repeat comments of why this would be useful, this should be obvious by now.
RE: Create multiple apps from same workspace
Yes sorry PowerBi i'm a huge fan of your work but it seems quite logical for a user that a workspace (a place to work) is independant to an audience to share the work with...
In my organisation we have people with little digital literacy that manage some small things and we want to keep it simple by creating 1 workspace per department, with only the analists as members/administrators, we the BA team manage data connection and gateways
We would like them to be able to create one app per audience, from the same workspace...
RE: Create multiple apps from same workspace
Currently in my company, we are an many employes and we need to divide or implement polices, because the same the report need ti stay visible for one, but can't to visible the other person, in the same workspace. Now we are sharing the report for people that cant to see the workspace. But this is very laborious
RE: Create multiple apps from same workspace
Yep, totally agree. I assumed this was a feature already as it seems so logical. To me the only workaround would be to have loads of workspaces, to control permissions to the various levels of reports etc..... This needs sorting out.....
