Under: Enabling external users to edit and manage content within Power BI, AAD user type Member is not supported for external users in Power BI. This does not support our customers who have multi-tenant configurations within their Power BI ecosystem, and these tenants need to communicate with one another.

RE: Support for AAD user type Member

Yes please!Ideally, we would like to also share datasets between tenants (requiring pro-licence), which we have tested with workspace admin rights for guest(foreign tenant) users. Hopefully in the near future, Microsoft will allow foreign “members” to bring their own licence. If they had pro functionality in their home tenant, then the user has already bought the pro-licence in their home tenant. It’s really a strange anomaly that a lower privileged “Guest type” user can bring this pro-licence license, but a “Member type” can’t.Prioritising this would be fantastic, so we Sync Members and not have to provision free licences, which provides limited functionality. The majority of O365 is functional, what happened here?
