NEED:

Allow a person or group to be given full Goal edit rights, when they only have Workspace Viewer rights. Essentially, this will create a scorecard owner role.

SCENARIO:

  • A professional services company wants individual scorecards for all 90 employees.
  • All employees should be able to view all scorecards but only be able to edit their individual scorecards and do check-ins.
  • The intended implementation is to create all 90 scorecards in one workspace for visibility, maintainability, and ease of access.

CURRENT BLOCKERS

  • If the user has the Workspace Viewer role, they cannot add/edit goals on any scorecard
  • If the user has the Workspace Member role, they can add/edit all scorecards

The current behavior makes it impossible to implement the solution as needed as either no one can edit or everyone can edit everything.

Definitely agree with this , this is also in line with agile philosophy.I know adding content in service is contributor and above and in our company that needs pro license. You do not really want to give too many people pro licenses as Goals is prettig simple. For pro licenses we typically expect modelling experience. Current role model setup now "forces" us to hand out more pro licenses enabling business users to create their goals
