We need to link 2 power bi embedded reports together using urls to move between them.

What seemed like an easy task is turning difficult as powerbi doesn't allow hiperlinks to be opened in same tab, and there's no way to do it except using the powerbi Dashboard service, which hasn't got the appeal and customization that the dashboard already created inside the report has.

All it's needed is for a configuration on the "Action" submenu in Buttons to allow opening hiperlinks in the same tab.

This is something also we are struggling now and this limitation effects the UX a LOT! You should really work on this feature!

This would be a very important addition for my client to improve the user experience in power BI apps. The ability to link different reports together in the same app without having to open a new browser tab via a web URL or having to setup a cross-report drill through would be a huge win. Thanks for considering it!

For the user-experience, this is a vital addition to Power BI. It's very confusing, that I add a Buttonto an App Report, to navigate to another report in the sameApp, and it opens in a new Browser-Tab.This is very counterintuitive. Especially as this makes it impossibleto use the Back Button to go back to the start page. Please look into it an urgently consider the implementation of this new feature.

I would like to see this option in 2 places - in the app options when publishing and in the actions submenu in the report itself. While our firm would very much would like the reports to remain in the same window when using an app, I would like the ability to not have this happen for reports when viewed outside of an app.

This would allow for some needed flexibility in delivering an App-like experience in the workspace Apps. Right now there is no way to create a functional navigation page across different reports loaded into an App if users don't want to use the left-hand navigation.

We have the same issue with an hypertext link present into an Embedded report, which is integrated into an eframe, in our website : When we click on the hypertext link, we go out of the web application and a new tab in chrome is opened. That's not a good experience for our users, because we want that they launch the report thru our web application, not via the powerbi services site.

This is also useful when you are embedding your reports in SharePoint (through iFrame) and any other app that contains them. When you open a new tab, it breaks the user experience.
