Customize Data Colors for Clustered or Stacked Bar Chart

It seems to me we can customize data colors for individual elements in a "series" on a simple bar chart, but once we introduce another dimension (either stacked or clustered), we can only color by those dimensions: We lose the "Show all" switch that allows us to assign a different color to each value.

Obviously it adds a layer of complexity to spill out all the values once for each dimension, but it would be very helpful (and visually consistent) to allow the same flexibility on a stacked/clustered bar chart as on a simple bar chart.

Agree - We need the ability to conditionally format stacked and clustered series through e.g a formula, field or a rule. It’s currently a nightmare to handle when you have a significant dimension dataset to this. Manually have to handle each value is cumbersome.

I think this dynamic dimension coloring could help solve for the below:Legend does not allow for hierarchies. For example, show GroupA, then more detailed GroupB.No option to break up legend values into smaller granularity that shows in tool tip. For example, show stacked bar by colors of Amount by GroupA, but on hover see all the pieces that make up GroupA in tooltip. Currently, only the first value shows in tooltip.

P.S. I meant to say above "spill out all the values in the formatting pane once for each dimension".
