Currently when you do a drill-down it's drills on your axis. In case you have put something on the legend you can't drill on it. For situations where you have i.e. some time hierarchy on the axis and some product hierarchy on the legend it might be very helpful if you can simply choose to drill on either the time or the product hierarchy...

Having this feature would give us the means to explore our organisational hierarchy to explore the data and identify the services that need attention.

Oh, boy do I need this functionality. I've been asked for that level of interactivity specifically from my executive users, and I'm stuck answering "sorry, that's not possible yet..."

The ability of Drilling Up/Down on a hierarchy put in the Legend field would be a great feature to have! This would definitely gain Power BI more advantage over other BI tools!

It would also be great if there was some indication on the visualization itself that showed you what values you drilled down on. As the datasets get more dense it gets easy to get lost in layers of hierarchies, I think this would be a good way to keep the information in perspective.

I fully agree with the idea. This function is lacking in PowerBI compared to e.g. Tableau.
Tableau offers you the possibility to choose from even more hierarchies, for instance product, customer segment, geography etc via right mouse click

This would be a great feature as often times I have hierarchical fields that I would like to drill through on a line chart which trends over time.
