A Q&A visual popping every time you double click emplty pane space is really disturbing.
At least include an option to disable this.

I find this absurd that this has not been addressed yet. This is especially annoying for developers that put their objects in groups and need to multi click multiple times to get to the correct object. I am not exaggerating when I say I have accidentally triggered this "feature" well over a thousand times over the past 4 years. The idea to force this on a double click was a horrendous idea to start, and to not fix it after 4 years is beyond incompetence.

I mean, seriously, why the heck would you assign Q&A box creation on mouse double click? It's been like this for years(since 2020 at least). It never made any sense back then, it makes no sense now.This is extremely inconvenient and having no check box to disable this in 2024 just shows you how much this company has no clue or don't care about basic user needs.It's difficult to imagine any of old microsoft products to be released in such a state let alone exist like this for years and even gain popularity. I have close to zero complains on many of Microsoft product I've used before, but this abomination is untolerable on daily basis.

This is symptomatic of a bigger problem in Power BI in which the interface is designed in a way that prioritises marketing a new feature to users above ease of use or accessibility - c.f. popup hints, surveys, splash pages.In general, I would like a "stop using the interface of the product I am paying you money for to market new features at me" option, but that seems pretty unlikely to happen.

Has only been an issue for me as the data set grows and report slows down. Would prefer to just disable this feature and use a button instead.

I agree. I trigger this event almost daily because I'm trying to deselect visuals for whatever reason. All we need is a simple on/off or a way to change the behavior of double-clicking.
