I have been using Query Parameters on my Embedded reports for a while now, which is great!
Now I have been asked to default the parameter but allow users to select others. The problem here is query paramater sets a report filters values, and inturn the values available to the slicer are filtered.

When using embedded reports users don't have access to the filters on the right hand side, therefore I would request that we have a way to pass in slicer selections as part of the query.

Whilst I am on this, it would be nice if this change does get approved, that we get the ability to set multiple values of multiple slicers via query parameters.

RE: Default Slicer Values via Query Parameter

It would be great and must have feature. I have one idea to implement this. query parameter can be populated from query (distinct list). If we use same list in slicer and user can select values. If user select 2 out of 10 values from list using slicer then only those 2 value will be considered by parameter. Also, provision to select items from list while configuring parameter so it allow users who to pass fixed multiple values to query parameter. It may automatically allow to pass values for interaction between 2 visuals using relationship.
Allow IN clause in SQL queries initially.

Please make it available without votes. It is essential feature. It seems planned 2 year ago but not available yet.

Please add this. It has existed in Tableau for ages and is imo one key feature to provide multipurpose dashboards for users.
