Ability to display project milestones across a timeline.
For example, a project may have a start date, a finish date, and other key milestones that need to be reported upon. It would be great if the project could be represented by a bar, based on the project start and finish, with milestones displayed on the bar. The timeline roadmap would then be used to visualize this information for multiple projects at once. We tried using the existing Gantt visualization at the following link:

The Gantt visualization works well for task-level information i.e. a project Gantt chart to display tasks, percent complete, and resource assignments. It can be used to display bars that represent projects too, but most organizations also have the need to display multiple milestones on top of the bars, or to display milestones only without the bars. Projects typically have multiple key milestones that would need to be displayed on a single row across a timeline.
This is where we cannot meet the requirements with the existing Gantt visualization. Additional capabilities like coloring the bars and milestones based on data logic, and the ability to group bars at multiple levels based on another data point would be a plus.

The xViz Gantt chart has rich Milestone customization properties where you can display milestones either as separate rows or on top of existing bars. You can also have different coloring logic and conditional formatting options - https://xviz.com/visuals/gantt-chart/
