When I update a data set file (either Excel or pbix), add option to force the OneDrive refresh. Currently if I make an update to the file, I have to wait about an hour for OneDrive changes to come through. When I'm building reports on top of a data model, this wait is inefficient. I've also found that when switching from a pbix using direct query to load data (or vice versa), the changes don't come through and I have to delete existing datasets and re-add.

It seems that just updating the data file (like.csv) does not refresh the report at all. Updating the .pbix just for the sake of refreshing data is a real pain, especially since we are using the deployment pipelines. It would be extremely beneficial if report would be updated (even within an hour) when data file is updated,

The unavoidable 1 hour update delay makes this publishing path useless for almost any scenario. I cant understand why it has headed in this direction? The delay was previously 15 minutes - I expected it to get shorter not longer. By definition a OneDrive for Business user is a paying customer. Currently the Power BI Free(loaders) get a better service by publishing instantly from PBI Desktop. I'm advising all my clients to avoid this path at present which is a waste of an otherwise useful feature, and a disincentive to buy PBI Pro.

Ideally, we would have control: manual (on demand) refresh. Lacking that, we need transparency and predictability: we should be able to see when the file was last refreshed and see when the cycle is next scheduled.
Deleting and re-adding is not a good workaround, because the re-add generates a new report URL, breaking any use of the previous report URL.
This is almost a great feature - the "about" one-hour cycle makes it very difficult to live with.

Waiting an hour to see updated visualizations when the data is on OneDrive is quite a pain when updating reports and dashboards
