Dear PBI Family ,
My idea for improving power BI is introducing a syntax in scheduled refresh in Power BI service , so that we (The users) have more flexibility in scheduling a refresh .
For now we can schedule refresh Daily or Weekly (with selecting which day to refresh) and set the 30 min format time . e.g 2:30 am or 2 am or 3 am or 3:30 am etc
But what if i want to refresh the report on Monthly basis , only on last date of month to which my team will view only once in a month or for eg i want to refresh on last day of month only if it is working day , and if its weekend so refresh on a day prior weekend .
Giving a syntax or some predefined statements will help us to achieve more flexibility with scheduling a refresh .
Regards ,

RE: Scheduled Refresh as desired
I am using sharepoint data as a datasource and by default it is import query mode due to excel and csv files on sharepoint. In premium version, we can set scheduled refresh 48 times per day i.e. For every half an hour But I need a scheduled refresh for every 5 minutes or 10minutes. I think this will be also possible if we scheduled as per desired time set.

I need a monthly refresh option for our end-of month reports. Currently I have either build date constraints into those reports or to refresh manually, because neither daily or weekly refresh options can be aligned to month end.

Yes ! That is what I am talking about !
It would give great flexibility .

I love cron-like syntax available in Azure functions - having cron in PowerBI would offer a lot more flexibility. A warning like "this syntax will refresh more than the maximum ___ times per day. Only the first ___ refreshes will be triggered daily."
