Add new fields to published data source when refreshing - same as in Desktop, but without having to republish

PowerBI Service scheduled refreshes to not update a published model/dataset with new fields from source tables/views.

We have tried both DirectQuery and Imported tables.

A scheduled or on-demand refresh should update the published model metadata, just like PowerBI Desktop.

This would save us from having to manually refresh and publish the model every day to allow users access to new fields.

Our system allows users to add fields to the underlying SQL tables. We have a model published which queries these tables.

Scheduled refreshes in the PowerBI Service does not show the additional fields, for users to query from the Power Platform Power BI Dataset.

Apologies if this idea has already been raised. I was unable to find something similar in Ideas.
