Please enable the user to rename fields in a visual that are part of a hierarchy.

RE: Rename fields that are part of a hierarchy

Also elements of an automatically generated date hierarchy are not renameable. So we have to extract the values to a different column which we can rename than. But this is too workaround-like.

RE: Rename fields that are part of a hierarchy

We are using an Azure Analysis Services (AAS) live connection to Power BI and have this issue here as well. Thanks for considering this! Users should have the same control over hierarchies at the report layer if that hierarchy is imported or stored in a platform layer with a live connection.

RE: Rename fields that are part of a hierarchy

This would be very helpful since we use Role playing dimensions and if you use more than one of the dimensions then you don't know which hierarchy the value is representing. I shouldn't need to change my cube due to a limitation of PowerBI.

RE: Rename fields that are part of a hierarchy

Can do this in imported data models so why not in a live connect dataset..?
Able to rename every other field type in live connections, SSAS and Power BI Service
