In addition to cross filtering and cross highlighting among different visuals in power BI, there should be a way all the visuals on a page get sorted if one visual is sorted on the basis of some common field or column.

Agreed, this would make the options for creating dashboards way more extensive.

Yes! This would be a huge help! It would enable dashboard creators to utilize small, multiple bar charts for more effective visualizations!!

Highly support this idea, it should be part of the 'visuals interaction'-functionality, ic telling which visual should be sorted in the same way as another visual (of course, only applicable if the dimensions used are similar). Currently there is no way to align sorting between 2 bar charts with 2 measures. For example first you want to sort on revenue descending. The second bar chart shows variance % to budget, but it can not follow the same sorting.
This is only partially adressed by the preview matrix visual, because that one can not be scaled properly.
