If you don't have SQL Server Enterprise with SA, the only licensing options available are quite cost prohibitive for small implementations.
Pro User = $10/month
Premium =$5k/month minimum
Embedded=$750/month minimum
If only sharing a small number of reports with other users (view only) it is impossible to justify the cost.

RE: Lower cost licensing options
I would just like it to update more than 8/day; but spending 5k a month on it is not even remotely worth it.
RE: Lower cost licensing options
There also needs to be a tier between pro and premium for small businesses that need the premium features but have no need for the dedicated capacity.
RE: Lower cost licensing options
The pricing model is unjustified from organizational adoption perspective and also from ISV perspective. Listen, for a market like India the adoption of such technologies is most likely thru ISV and I believe its true for other markets too. If thats true, and if ISVs themselves are struggling with adoption then it really hurts business.
