Hi,
I have published Project Manager dashboard on the internal Power BI portal.
I'm adding at the end of the URL "?rs:embed=true" to remove not needed bars for the dashboard users.
As I have almost 100 Project Managers at my company each of them has to find himself on the first slicer to see his projects. I have received many requests to customize dashboard to each user by preselecting Project Manager in the URL. Could you please add primary slicer that could be controlled by URL? That feature would be very useful!
Regards
JT

Strange, that this doesn't work. So getting around export limitations e.g. unsupported visuals becomes more challenging.

There's a ton of use cases for this. I can tell you one specific one if you like.We have a generalized advisory committee survey as a MS Form that uses this functionality on the front end; the name of the committee is added as text to the end of the URL before the QR code is created, so new committees are created on the fly just by adding different text to the URL. Power Automate captures the data and updates the Power BI that reports results for all committees (with an intermediary step of saving results in an Excel file in Sharepoint). The one QoL lacking in the process is that they can't add the committee name to the URL on the fly in the same way to have the default slice in place for the committee members, so committees newly created have to look through the list of 100+ committees to find their own results.

This feature will make powerbi stand apart from myriad of BI solutions available. Please take this up on priority.

Got the same issue here. We need to pass filter from url to slicer so users do not have to select their own setting every time. This hickup is huge and need support from MicrosoftRegards,AJ

This feature gap has become increasingly important now that users are increasingly embedding Power BI reports within Microsoft Teams channels and chats. Embedded Power BI reports in Teams don't support an individual's applied bookmark (this is a documented limitation), and so it would be helpful when embedding a Power BI report in Teams to include filter AND slicer settings in the hardcoded URL.

There is a strong need for this in our organization as well. Any update on this?

Same issue over here. We have a web-based, home build dashboard with a lot of buttons we want to link to a PowerBI report, automatically selecting the correct product and analysis bij URL.Please create the option to set slicers through URL's.

We also have the use case all over the place. A must-have to effectively share reports customized to the consumer view, without leveraging the panel filters. The latest option might not be so understandable to all consumers and might lead to misalignments between the slider and filter information.
