I would like a slicer where I can enter multiple values to search in a certain field, and the values would be separated by a comma (like SSRS reports have).

So, I could search cat, dog, fish in column A, and all instances that those three terms were used would come up.

RE: Slicer to search multiple values in a field separated by a comma

This custom slicer has the functionality we need BUT...
Currently no support for bookmarking the entered values in that custom visual.
Currently no support for synchronization across pages.
Poorly visually designed slicer.

having this functionality in a native power BI slicer would be awesome. Many times we have a howe list of article codes, customer codes, whatever,... out of another IT system we quickly want to see the values from in the power BI report.

RE: Slicer to search multiple values in a field separated by a comma

My company is migrating from Spotfire to Power BI and this is very easy to do in Spotfire. We frequently have to filter tables of 10,000+ values down to 100 desired rows, and use Excel to produce a delimited string which is pasted into the filter. Current slicers only offer one-by-one ticking of boxes to achieve this which isn't practical.

The same should also be applied to filters.

Or do it with any syntax at all........just tell us what it is.
