The currently released usage metrics feature only keeps data for 90 days. Please increase the data retention period.

FYI: the documentation for the usage metrics feature can be found here: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-service-usage-metrics/

RE: Maintain dashboard/report usage metrics data for >90 days

New Usage Metrics Report even only maintain data in the last 30 days. Since some reports are refreshed monthly, tracking one-month data is meaningless — no idea to find increases or drops. I can have workarounds, but why bother for every report developer to develop a new report? Pls consider this idea.

Would be nice to be able to track adoption. 3 months is too short

We require a 12 month usage monitoring for this to be useful. 90 days doesn;ty help with the cyclical nature of usage during the year.

90 Days was not enough but the new metrics using only 30 days of usage is useless. We need to show usage trends over time. One year would be ideal.

Well the "Improved" usage metric made it much worse by only showing us last 30 days of usage!

An even better alternative to increasing report usage data retention, is to provide API calls so that customers can extract the report usage metrics, and then let the customer store as much usage data as we need.
