A Power BI Pro user outside my organization can use reports I have shared to them via Power BI Service, but when they select 'Analyze in Excel', the user receives a 'Forbidden Activity ID' error message within Excel, then they are rerouted to the Microsoft sign in screen. From the sign in screen, their current password and email address does not work. Please allow users outside the organization to utilize the Analyze in Excel function since it is available.

RE: Analyze in Excel for External Users

With the latest preview feature of the new "in-place dataset sharing for Power BI datasets", it seems reasonable that external users should also be able to "Analyze in Excel" if they have build permission. Please allow this! Thanks

Yes please give the Power BI Pro users outside organization/tenant the ability to use 'Analyze in Excel' in the same way they use reports shared with them via Power BI Service.

RE: Analyze in Excel for External Users

This seems pretty core to the Microsoft strategy of enhancing collaboration within an organization and also across key outside organizations via the B2B AAD. I'm not sure why enabling "Analyze in Excel" in this context needs to be an idea...seems like it should already be on the roadmap. Hope so.
