I think it's an strategy error by Microsoft that the Users that's have no PRO license can't view the dashboards and reports than was created for them once or twice at month. If we need to upgrade many Users to PRO license, maybe we'll use other tools if we need to pay to see our dashboards or reports. I'm agree than the Users that make reports and dashboards will need PRO license, but, the Users that only check it? I can't believe it.
At this point, I'm checking other tools that cover our requisites.

Had a MS rep visit our company and show the amazing things you could do with Power BI. Honestly the training was great!
Then we found out that in order to share these awesome reports we either have to pay an extra $9.99 per user per month or invest in the Premium option which is priced so high that I imagine my finance team laughing at me before deleting my request.
This has killed the potential of using Power BI in our company and I feel like we wasted money getting training in this software...

This is crazy. I mean what business is going to pay for EVERY user to have a Pro license...none that;s how many, because there is NO business case.
Pro should be required to generate content only, not to just view the content!.

I am responsible for data quality and our reporting services. I create some reports based on quality data. I hand out Pro licenses to the 20 or so lucky people who get to see my work.
All good, except now they too can mine whatever data they can see and share with anyone else they see fit.
Suddenly, more and more redundant, poor quality reports, and an ever-increasing number of requests for Pro licensing to see what was shared.
+1 for drumming up pro license sales
-100 for making a service which is now polluted with poorly sourced and modelled data which devalues the service as a whole.

Same problem here. We are 200 employees in our company. I'm the only one building reports in Power Bi but wan't to share them with all users. Today i only share them with the partners in out company since it will be to expensive to have to license all 200 users with af Pro license. So now we have 30 Pro licenses for the partners and me. The partners only view the reports. We would like an option to license all users (viewers) at a lower fee. All viewers will only view reports once a week so the present licens options at much to expensive for our needs.
