A common issue we see is that when testing a report in edit mode, you often use slicers as part of the testing. If you are not careful when you save, you save specific slicers rather than the default you want - often All.
A solution might be to not save slicer selections on a save, but break out a separate "Save Slicer State" so that you can take a deliberate action to save the slicers.

There is definitely a need for a default selsction pre-set.Additionally, It would be golden if a slicer of date values was able to always select the newest date by default (or some other relative selsction) upon opening the report. The workarounds aren't good enough, there's always an inconvenient trade-off. For example, if I replace the dates by a calculated column, where the most recent date is marked as "Latest" (and that selection can be saved as default), I am missing the information, what is the latest date, actually.

I think that would be really helpful. I have to go through all pages before publishing checking that I didn't set any filters accidentally which is really annoying and error-prone.
