The desktop have support multi-language when the datasource is analysis services, but the services still dont support. This is a import feature.
Any news please? We have developed Analysis Services OLAP Cubes with metadata and data translation and only Excel works as expected...
Absolutely!
Almost a half year later.... Any informations?
It has been two years... are there any news about this idea?
It seems that Power BI is already sending the LocaleIdentifier as part of the live connection, but it always has value 1033 (en-US), regardless of which language has been chosen for the UI in PowerBI.com, or which language the browser/OS is using.
Ideally, the connector should use the LocaleIdentifier corresponding to the UI language of Power BI, or at least provide an option to customize this in the data source, as suggested by Marco.
There is also request on localization for tabular models: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/9998508-implement-into-powerbi-tabluar-excel-data-mode
same issue here - need to localize labels, category labels, table headers etc. Any solution?
This is a must here. Can't understand why it's not supported when it is in Power BI desktop.
Do you mean that users need to be able to switch UI language of the Power BI dashboard UI language? If so, one can go to Settings in Power BI dashboard and change the UI language.
