Refreshing data sources seems to be an "all or none" decision in Power BI Desktop. My current data source has transactions for the last few years, and includes more than 2 million rows of data. It takes several minutes to have that refreshed, when I really just needed to add the 3,000 rows from yesterday's transactions.
The ability to define partitions for each table, based on a column value (e.g. transaction date), would significantly improve usability.

RE: Data Source Partitions in Power BI Desktop
That needs to be available on the Power BI Server, not only on Power BI Service too.
RE: Data Source Partitions in Power BI Desktop
I agree, partitioned data sources are essential to analytics with our Organizations transactional data.
RE: Data Source Partitions in Power BI Desktop
Is there any information yet on Partitions, having added the incremental refresh is great but does not solve my refresh issues.

Same here. Got a 40mln row table in an Azure SQL DB, takes half an hour to reload.
RE: Data Source Partitions in Power BI Desktop
Agree, I think full and incremental refresh feature is available in Tableau. I would like this feature be available in Power Bi as well.
RE: Data Source Partitions in Power BI Desktop
I agree on the above.
I would also like to have the ability to choose tables/partitions when importing data from SSAS. This way we could import only transactions from the last year, to limit the size of the dataset.
RE: Data Source Partitions in Power BI Desktop
I agree Partitions, too.
and I hope Partitions in Power BI Service.
My scenario 1.
I want to importing data of only this month by every day,
overwrite data in this month,
not overwrite data in other months,
and I report 2 years rows.
My scenario 2.
I want to importing rows for this month from Facebook.
overwrite data in this month,
not overwrite data in other months.
and I report several years of Facebook activity.

I agree. This is important in the real life world.
