When I compare Power BI and Tableau, I found the following issues/suggestions:
- When we create a column chart / Bar chart using two data fields, say Category and Subcategory in one axis and sales on the other, it looks fine in single color. As soon as we put any one of the two in legends, the width of the columns is reduced and space between the columns is increased automatically, which doesn't look appropriate also the name of the categories on the axis are not properly aligned. And I didn't find anything in the formatting section to restore the width and the spacing of the columns to the earlier levels. So, this looks like an issue. The same feature in Tableau looks far better.
- In the same scenario, If the user wants the subcategories to be sorted ascending or descending based on the sales, it is not there, neither by an option available or automatically. This is there in the tableau.
- Also, there must me an option in formatting section to adjust the position and orientation of the category names.

RE: Issue with Column / Bar Charts
The sorting feature I asked for in the above suggestions is sorting subcategories based on the sales within each category.
