Run cells in section in notebook

Currently there are 4 options to run notebook cells - individual cell, all cells, run cells above and run cells below. Google Colab introduced a new way to run cells in a section. To achieve similar behavior, I freeze cells and then use run cells above/below. Similar to Colab, it would be great if we could create sections, or use markdown to define sections and then run cell blocks between those sections. It would also be nice if we could control select cells and run those selected cells only. Right now cntrl + select multiple cells only runs the last selected cell.

Agreed, this would be great for organizing and batch-running notebooks.
