Adding support for JDBC data sources would allow for integration with databases other than SQL Server.

Many system establish a JDBC layer on top of their application layer. A native JDBC connector would greatly expand the use of PowerBI as a reporting tool.

this is a table stakes feature and opens the door to all kinds of data sources. However you would have to give up some control and really do something in an open way. it does work. Just look at VSCode.

RE: Support JDBC Data Sources.

In 2021 where everyone is moving to Data Virtualization and using JDBC, not having it available and needing votes is not what can keep a product a great product down the line.

Some of the features are must when they are enabled now by default.

Can you please pay attention to such details and provide features enabling Organizations to use it as Enterprise solution?

Thanks for looking into comments.
