At the moment, we are unable to get information out of DevOps - the current built in functionality does not support retrieving custom fields - issue details posted here https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/Unable-to-schedule-refresh-of-dynamic-data-source/idc-p/3235118#M95457

At the moment, I have resorted to using Queries in ADO to get all the information, then use the Visual C++ add-in in Excel to import the information. The only way is for me to import the data to excel and refresh it every day, instead of me being able to get the data directly from ADO into Power BI.

The ADO analytics service doesn't allow you to add 'multiple row' text fields - so I also raised this on the Developer Community https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/t/Fix-and-Improve-DevOps-integration-and-c/10344751

The build in Power BI functions can't be used, OData Feeds can't be used. The only way I can see that works is WIGL but I can't import that into Power BI, even tried Web. The only way we managed is not supported (first link)

RE: Query Azure DevOps using Work Item Query Language (WIQL)

You can close this - I see there is an option through the Power BI add-in for Azure DevOps. Once the add-in is installed, you can create a query in ADO and then 'Open in Power BI'.
