Would be good to have information from AppInsights available as data source to enable analysis of application use based on various data sources - something coming via AppInsights, something coming from application audit logs, user profile database (custom SQL DB), something from CRM where additional customer info might be stored etc.

RE: Application Insights
We have tried out the Application Insights API to get data into Power BI and it works great! However, we tried to use the "GET /query" in the API and cannot get it to work. This would be ideal for us so that we can enrich the data before ingesting and then use a "GET /query" to retrieve the data and display it in Power BI in a more meaningful way. This type of integration with Microsoft's own solutions is critical--please consider this.
RE: Application Insights
It would be awesome if we can get a connection to Application Insights on the Desktop version and teh abbility to select more than the current metrics than sessions, page views etc. It would be nice to get average response time, hits, posts, etc
RE: Application Insights
It seems you need the Application Insights content pack for Power BI. Bing for that.
RE: Application Insights
I see this request as "Under Review" for more than 6 months? Can we please get some update? Microsoft TFS team should plan releasing content pack. There are already Adobe, Google analytics content pack.
RE: Application Insights
This is my #1 most wanted feature for power BI. I use a PowerBI dashboard to get insights on everything that's going on in my startup, except... the feature usage data that goes in ApplicationInsights. That's really a shame.
RE: Application Insights
Since app insights is all about gathering data, I would think PowerBI would just *eat* *it* *up* - there would be a seemingly endless number of ways to slice it!
