Any update on this Microsoft? There are several other requests similar to this so probably >= 100 votes. We use Tableau to accomplish this. Can’t fully switch to PBI until this is available.

This fuction is really usefull, since we have to monitor everything based on previous performance,
such as:
are we growing? how many percent that we growth?
is our revenue is decreasing? how many percent are we decreasing?
even more usefull, if we can find out, what is increasing or decreasing more than x percent?
let's say we have a sales chart for many products, we want to find out:
what product is increasing more than 50% from last year or last month?
what product is decreasing more than 50% from last year or last month?

It should work like subtotals. At a matrix table I can on/off subtotals for individual rows at PER ROW LEVEL at FORMAT/SUBTOTALS. So if diff and diff% were added like subtotals, we can see difference amounts and difference percentages PER ROW LEVEL.

Echoing this idea, also please include functionality to see the calculation of difference across specific [Fields]. For example a "difference from previous period" period being a data extract date & time. Described in depth here:
