For non English users (and maybe also for them..), we need the ability to change the field name in the report layer without changing it in the data model (just like in excel, when user can customize field name without overriding the data model).
currently the only way to do it is to change the actual field name in the data model, and it is usually not easy to maintain a non english model.

RE: rename field for non english users
This is a powerful feature of XBRL that we could borrow here. Wherever the "Rename" feature is used now in PBI, it would be better to have the ability to attach, not just an alternative name for the field, but several - identified by:
* language (maybeusing ISO codes);
* type "Label" (as for the current name) or "Documentation" (to describe the meaning/purpose of the field for end users to better understand the data - this could appear in a hover box); and
* role - to allow for multiple names - e.g. standard, short name, long name, etc.
A visual/page level parameter setting would allow users to set their preferred data label language and role.
