When doing preview that rely on multiple other query source, give an indication on which query the calculation is currently running (potentially displaying in the query list in green the query done for this preview, in red the query still waiting, in orange the query ongoing? A simple coloring of the query name would be a good indication of the status).
This way we could see which query is the bottleneck and therefore optimise the full process flow.

actually that's not how power query works. Power query pulls all the code from previous queries and executes it independently for each query that requires it. Really. Query references is just something for code management.
