Apply conditional formatting to multiple fields

It would be great to set a conditional formatting rule and apply it to multiple fields within a matrix or table (Format painter). Currently the rules set need to be applied to each and every column or field individually. Similar to "applies to" in Excel.

Applying Conditional Formatting to all fields or selected fields is a must when you are creating a basic tabular report with multiple views with 10 - 20 columns. Please, please, please can we have this option.

Can't believe this idea only has 5 votes :) How is this not annoying to more people, having to apply the same conditional formatting to many many columns?
