Thanks for bringing us the selectable table that can be used as a filter, but it would be nice to chose whether to enable that functionality. Can we add an option to prevent a table or matrix from allowing individual rows or cells from being selected. In some situations, especially when including hyperlinks in tables, it's a very distracting experience for the end user to constantly have selected rows in the table.

RE: Add option to prevent selection in table & matrix

Essential to provide property to stop row (or column) selection on Table or Matrix.

Also often, the Matrix is a summary of calculations and the details are shown elsewhere on the page - but due to the data model being column based (not relational) selecting a row may not correspond to the details, which then filter and show wrong values. This does not look good (a showstopper in fact), and needs to be controlled. Simple with this "prevent selection" property. Yes, you can work around sometimes by removing the filtering on the other visualisations, but it's still then confusing for user to select rows for no reason, especially when the screen flashes even though the other detail visualisations remain the same!

Totally agree, displayed rows and columns should be dependent only on the slicers on the reports rather than the table or matrix to prevent users from accidentally further selecting on reports.
