Copilot feature gets disabled in Power BI Desktop as soon as they release new version of Power BI Desktop. I opened a support ticket where Techrep confirmed and I quote

"My product team has confirmed that there was a change on the backend for copilot on PBI Desktop, according to our team, Only the latest version of the desktop app will support Copilot"

We have processes that software is packaged and installed as a drop from software center on all computers that have software, nobody has access to install software. Updating software to the latest release is not sustainable for us (or any big corporation). We can’t upgrade the desktop every month and neither can any other large company as that would cost a lot of money in time and resources.

We want Microsoft to have backward compatibility for at least 6 months. .

Thank you

Yogesh
