User getting data from content pack should be able to at least pin tiles. Currently it is read only. If user want to change anything he needs to copy and then make changes. But if he just want to only pin the tiles then he should be able to pin from actual in that way he can get updates too.

RE: Allow users to pin tiles from original content pack

It is very disappointing not to be able to pin visuals from a content pack...

One of the best uses cases for Dashboards in Power BI is to receive content (reports) from various content packs across the organization. I can then take the most important content and bring it together in one place that is customized to my exact use case. Implementing this would make this common scenario a reality.

This would be useful as we are having clients who aren't wanting users to create personalised versions of reports just so they can create a dashboard.

The dashboard is meant to be a user's personal view in to data and allow them to see information at a glance that is contextually relevant to them. The idea they have to maintain a personalised copy of all reports where they want to pin a visual is becoming a high barrier entry to both report consumers and the BI teams creating the reports.
