At the moment, "PowerApps for PowerBI" visual is not configurable to change the PowerApps connection. Due to this, we have to manually remove the PowerApps visual and add it again to connect to the desired environment. This workaround is time-taking when promoting report & App from one environment to other, mainly due to the "PowerApps data" section at a visual level for integrating with PBI.
This is also a blocker for an end to end CI/CD process.

I guess PowerBI & PowerApps integration is in Microsoft roadmap. I wish this issue will be addressed as soon as practical.

Best Regards,

RE: Configuration driven PowerApps integration within PowerBI report

Microsoft should allow dynamically pass the PowerApps url where we can pass query string which can be used for deep linking. It is quite painful not to able able to use deep linking feature. We can't afford to create PowerApps for each report we publish in Power BI with Power Apps integration. In case of premium connectors usage in PowerApps, and would like to go with per app based license it is not possible at the moment.
