The ability to enter a customized 'From:' address would allow recipients of the report subscription email to reply to a specified email group that can handle questions and inquiries related to the report or data.

Currently, there is a default address which cannot be changed to my knowledge.

You could do this using the Power Automate actions of the REST API. Leaving it open to get more votes.

This is necessary as we move our SSRS subscriptions to a Power BI Premium capacity workspace. Functionality available in SSRS (a legacy software) should certainly be available in Power BI Premium.

We need this, SSRS Subs had it and so should this. Users don't want emails from PowerBI.

Why is this not a thing? also the ability to remove Microsoft logos and branding from the body of the email. We pay for this service, it shouldn't have advertising and branding in it, looks unprofessional.

Echoing many of the comments above. Because of the external sender address and warnings that are put on external sender emails, the emails look like phishing to our users, which decreases engagement and confidence in our reports.

Could adding a subscription option to the current Power BI Alert MS Teams App be another option to help? We are wanting these to go to a MS Teams Channel and cannot do that since it is an external domain sending to our tenant.

I think it would be of use to be able to change the sender email address of the powerbi subscriptions. Currently its all defaulted to the one email and it appears as if its arriving from an external source containing confidential information. Users are meant to be extra vigilant of external emails, so it could impact on report interaction

RE: Custom 'From:' address for Report Subscription emails

Ability to enter custom e-mail in subscribe to report function. Due to us having a different email adress than the on microsoft account we use for PowerBi it would be useful if we could say which e-mail address we would like the e-mail to go to.

Thanks

Chris

It looks like Phish to our confused users, especially because it seems that Exchange Online treats it as a threat also: CAUTION: This email originated outside of.... Please do not click on links or open attachments unless you are expecting them from the sender.

It is needed to send the dashboards generated through Power BI through a customized e-mail without confusing the recipients
