Enable measure in a slicer, add a second 'axis' field in which a category can be dragged so that the slicer calculates all the 'measure values' for each of the category. These values will then be used as a spread for the slicer.

Yes please, please add a Value well to the default slicer. This custom slicer Business Apps – Microsoft AppSource has it and does it well, but I would like to use the default slicer with horizontal layout (tiles).

RE: Enable measure to be put in a slicer

I have a use case case where certain information (dates, text fields and numbers) has to be obfuscated (scrambled) depending on the user's system role, and their relationship with the person who's record is being displayed. This cannot be calculated in advance in a column, as the relationship is dynamic depending on the user.

I am able to obfuscate the data using a measure, but then I can't filter using that measure. This is problematic as the user could do this prior to the need to obfuscate this information.

Adding the ability to add a slicer against a measure that is dynamically calculated would solve this issue. I have not found any workaround.

The recommended solution in this post would solve all my use cases.
