Once a dataflow is deleted then it's gone. It's a BCP issue and we need to have some sort of undo or a recycle bin where it can be restored for some time.

RE: Ability to undo a deleted dataflow

This is definitely needed. However, not only for restoring dataflows, but for being able to restore individual tables within a dataflow that was deleted.

Much needed feature.. I recently deleted an Power BI metric APP where there was a dataflow saved. Once the app is deleted the workspace is also deleted which had the dataflow

RE: Ability to undo a deleted dataflow

Very strongly agree with this need. It's too easy to delete dataflows and nearly impossible to restore them (even if you have the JSON files, the dataflow ID still changes). Nearly every other artifact in the PBI ecosystem can be restored for some period of time. Dataflows should be no different.

We recently had an issue where 3 workspaces were deleted by accident and they contained 37 dataflows. We were able to restore everything else quickly but the dataflows we had to rebuild from JSON files we were able to retrieve. This shut down our enterprise reporting for almost a week and had cascading downstream impacts for other users that were relying on those dataflows.

We pay a significant amount of money for Pro liscenses and a PBI premium capacity (just within my team; let alone the thousands of other users across my company). For an enterprise solution it's just not acceptable to have this type of business continuity risk. Although this probably isn't the most popular feature request, it's absolutely critical for the enterprise market.

RE: Ability to undo a deleted dataflow

Encountered an issue on that last week (workspace was accidently deleted), we not only need a way to restore but also to backup dataflow (and restore them with the same IDs). This will be becoming more and more critical as we use them to feed users with pre-formatted entities for their selfBI, accident like last week could result in the inability to work for some users
