A too/feature is needed to convert classic workspace to new workspace

The new workspace has been the default workspace type. However, currently there is no way to convert a classic workspace to new workspace. A tool or feature is needed to do this job. We have many classic workspaces, and we wish to convert them to new work spaces.

For us, the "must-have" feature for this automated conversion tool would be to maintain the existing URL links for Dashboards/Reports and Apps.

I see it's now scheduled in for November 2019.. so thanks and can't wait!

Since this functionality was not released per the published timeline, please provide an updated expected release date.

If this is not expected within the next month or so, I am weighing whether I should manually convert all of the Classic workspaces into App Workspaces (and then work with users to fix all of their Analyze in Excel connections)... But if this tool is imminent, than I will wait.

October update for desktop was released... now, where is the September update for service? I REALLY need this feature!

whereas the augst update was released in september 12th, I assume that the september update will be released in october

According to "What’s new and planned for business intelligence", this functionality was scheduled for release in September 2019. Could we get an update on this functionality?

BTW. If one needs to refresh dataset on demand using, say, a powershell script then the workspace needs to be of Version 2, please, consider voting for this feature. thanks/

Hasn't this been declared to be generally available soon after Workspace version 2 was announced for general availability?
