I would like to hard code colors to specific dimension values. For example, when working with telecom data I always want the Big Four companies to be hard-coded to their brand primary color whenever I build a new chart or graph. Or when I have to report on media networks, I always want them to have specific colors as well. I know I can manually change them, but I'd rather have a place where I can set-and-forget it so they charts are always right.

RE: hard code color to dimension values
'It would be nice to add this feature to a 'dimension description' page.
- A dimension can have a preferred sort order (by name, by attribute, by measure)
- A dimension can be numeric, but still ordinal (average and additions not applicable), and the basic interpretation is 'string with numbered sort orders'
- A dimension can be non-additive (average numbers) or non- multiplicative
- A dimension can be numeric with labels (e.g. driving distance with road exit names)
- A dimension can be date (or datetime) with specific events (to be used as labels)
RE: hard code color to dimension values
Same here. My team are developing multiple reports using some common dimensions. Would like to be able to lock in the colour for each dimension value so that visuals maintain consistent styling across all the reports -- e.g. the pie slice for "apple" is always red, or the chart line for "Banana" is always yellow, etc. We were hoping the colours could be defined via our custom JSON theme or in the dimensional table somehow.
RE: hard code color to dimension values
We have many dimensions where fixed colors are expected, for example "Gold partners" vs "Silver Partners" . Would be nice if charts could be configured to use this color mapping consistently instead of re-inventing the color palette every time the visual changes, or having to manually set data colors.
RE: hard code color to dimension values
We need the same feature. In our case we actually use SSAS Member Properties to define colors an the Fronten uses this to show the members in the defined color. Using a column dynamically from other sources would be a great option, too.
