Update, we will allow some custom fonts soon in mobile and paginated reports.

With the June Desktop update, we now support updating your chart fonts to any of the fonts we currently support for textboxes. Learn more in our blog: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-desktop-june-feature-summary/#fonts We will be working on allowing you to use your custom installed fonts as well in a future release.

RE: Support for custom fonts

Why isn't this done yet? Something as simple as allowing us to use the full gamut of fonts available on our system should be a given!

RE: Support for custom fonts

Please can you provide the functionality for custom fonts to be embedded in the report so it is not dependent on the viewer having the custom font installed locally. Thanks

RE: Support for custom fonts

Why is this not just standard? How can you (MS) promote Power BI embedded when you don't even give customers to ability to have custom fonts. Not being able to use our fonts to the reports fit with our branding is just terrible. This is basic functionality, stop giving us poorly executed (and useless) features like Smart Narrative and give the community what they actually need.

RE: Support for custom fonts

End users don't have knowledge to install the .ttf files on their machines to view the custom font.As a developer we are able to install the custom fonts to system fonts and PBI reports render the custom font, but customers are seeing Times New Roman as default font though we have updated the Themes file with custom font.

RE: Support for custom fonts

Please allow custom fonts to be accessible on the service without the need for users to manually install .ttf files. Many organizations use custom fonts for branding purposes and even when editing the report theme JSON file to use a custom font, it's not possible to see it on the service unless it's already been installed locally. The default Times New Roman font which is shown in its place just makes me sad :(

RE: Support for custom fonts

I think is using custom fonts are really useful when you want to align your designs to the company brand, but I think would be even better to have am option to set a custom font globally, so you do not need to apply the font to each object.

RE: Support for custom fonts

We need to be able to import fonts. To be a serious BI Application for large enterprises that have strict standards this is a must have. Tricking the Json file it not working when you need multiple custom fonts in 1 report!

RE: Support for custom fonts

We need to have fonts (even PBI default fonts) defined in JSON template to show correctly in the mobile apps (iOS and Android).

Currently, any fonts defined in JSON file, for example Arial, Segoe UI etc. - will not show when viewing the report via mobile app. Only if a font is defined in the Power BI visualization pane either in PBI Desktop or web, then the selected font will show in the mobile app.

Please update mobile apps to read the font data from JSON templates the same way as the PBI Desktop and PBI Service does.
