Power BI to read credentials from Key Vault.
Currently Power BI when connecting to databases have to enter credentials ,for example when connecting to Azure SQL DW via SQL authentication needs id and password. If power BI can directly read from Key Vault we can simply provide developers tokens instead of users accounts and passwords.

Microsoft should focus on this security flaw of not able to externalize the credentials and store in AKV.

Enhance data protection and compliance Secure key management is essential to protect data in the cloud. So this will really help to store the database credential and secure it and avoid bad credential lock it.Lets have this feature :)
RE: Power BI to read credentials from Key Vault
yes, this is a very good feature. In Azure DevOps, we can link the key vault secrets to fetch the username and passwords for CI/CD deployment. If Power BI also integrates with Azure Key Vault in the same way, it will be great.
RE: Power BI to read credentials from Key Vault
This is necessary. Why do we need to store our API Secrets or Keys in plain text when it is a huge security issue? Azure Key Vault has been created to have them securely stored.
RE: Power BI to read credentials from Key Vault
This would be very helpful to have. Would also like to use it within PowerQuery API calls to be able to use access tokens in "Anonymous" (PowerBI Credentials) web calls
