Please add the Reading View mode in Power BI Desktop (currently in Power BI online). Also, it would be great if there was a setting to "Open Power BI Desktop report in Reading View". That way users who open the PBI workbook would automatically view it in Reading View.

It would be useful if it was possible to switch between a developer mode and viewing mode in desktop. i.e. toggle button to switch between the two modes.

Add an on/of auto recalculate ability where we could turn off recalculation of visuals while developing a report.

A KEYBOARD SHORTCUT TOGGLE THE COLAPSE/EXPAND OF ALL PANES WOULD BE LIFE CHANGING!https://twitter.com/InsightsMachine/status/1204549714730872837?s=20&t=6X26drSp9BItbvGaoYFwlQ

A new button in Power BI Desktop where one can lock (or unlock) the editing of the report. The ideas is that the tiles can not be moved any more and the Visualization and Fields tabs on the right side are closed by default. This will make it easier to give the report to users within the company who are scared to destroy the report, but just want to look at it.

Yes, also in design mode, being able to click on a visual to customise each part (like in excel, select a single bar, series, or axis to change colour etc.) as the formatting pane is getting busier and cluttered (especially as it is shared with the visualisation icons). Maybe having two panes for viz and formatting similar to adobe illustrator. When in preview mode, clicking on visuals will cross-highlight or have all the intelligence and drill-through features.

I'm all for an option that allows me to instantly collapse the ribbon, filters pane, fields pane, visualizations pane, and any panes I currently have open (e.g. Selection pane) leaving nothing but the canvas.

Yes. It forces to use PBI Service for demoing work in progress of PBI reports

PLEASE! Irritating to have to remember to turn on LOCK OBJECTS, etc when viewing/checking on desktop.
