Currently you can set a filter that applies to an individual chart, or at a page/view level. You should also be able to make a filter apply across all the pages/views in a report.

RE: Make filters that can apply across all pages in a report

Hello, same need for providing to business a 360° view dashboard : one page for one point of view of the information, filters would be the same accross all pages. Blocking if not possible for my project (WW one). Feature is available in some other analytics products.

RE: Make filters that can apply across all pages in a report

'@will thompson, I started working on power BI since few months as an idea to propose it to my company customer's in the future as an alternative of BO / Webi solution.

However without the possibility of filtering the entire document with a page containing all the filter it is not possible to adress them.
How can a user work if the key figure are not automatically adjust from one page to another regarding the filter apllied in the first page ?

Could you give us your roadmap regarding the future features around filtering ?
- document filter (one filter is applied on the entire document and not page by page)
- perimetre of a filter (a filter can be set to be applied on some chart but not on every chart)
=> If a customer want to analyse something like incident, purpose on late delivery and so on, it is really helpfull to have on chart without any filter showing the volum of all delivery and then multiple chart focusing on delivery with issue like late delivery. To do this we need the possibilities to get a filter which applies on all chart presenting the reason (stock shortage, transport issue, aso... ) but not on the global chart presenting the volume of all delivery for the selected perimeter (customer, product, time)...

REgards,

Emilien, BI consultant.

It is acting like page level filter only.

Not completed - how do I set a Report level Slicer to act as a filter across all pages?

I created report level filters, then created some charts, that were then pinned to a dashboard which was saved. Now, i've update the report filters again, saved and published my changes, but the new filter does not seem to be present in my dashboard.

RE: Make filters that can apply across all pages in a report

I see the report level filter working, but is there a way to make a filter that is in the dashboard for users to change be a report level filter? Right now, if the user checks a different box in the filter, it doesn't change across pages even if that filter is also set as a report level filter.
