Currently PowerBI only supports import mode for DocumentDB / CosmosDB. Would be great to support DirectQuery mode or have another possible to update reports - e.g. by schedule.

This is a key feature to support analysis of streams!

Yet another scenario which seems to be unsupported by Microsoft?

The question is why?
Is CosmosDB a flagman solution in Azure for distributed data storage and retrieval? So much buzz so little support in Power BI

In addition, it would be great to:
1. refresh dataset of CosmosDB in app.powerbi.com without a need to open a report in Power BI Desktop

2. Delta data import--now you either import everything or nothing.

Without this Power BI and Cosmos DB have nothing to do in common.

100% agree with this. Our DocDB is massive. Fetching the entire content into PowerBI is not a reasonable proposition.
