Our organization is currently running on an oracle stack along with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition as our reporting front end. There are obvious UX limitations to this tool and would love the ability to run visualizations and reporting on top of the repository (RPD) file, which contains all the business logic. RPD file is an xml file.

RE: Oracle business intelligence rpd integration

Create a custom connector where we can directly connect to OBIEE RPD and subject areas. The Metadata can be refreshed which can be easily used to build the reports & visualize the data in MSBI.

Thanks,

RE: Oracle business intelligence rpd integration

The recent Datamarts feature is awesome as it equips users to create their own database on the Power BI Service. I'm using Power BI (a Premium account) mainly for connecting to OBIEE & Oracle Analytics via the BI Connector. However, BI Connector (which is Power BI Certified as well!) is not listed as a data source under Power BI Datamarts for some strange reason. It would be great if the Power BI team adds the BI Connector to the Power BI Datamarts' Get Data list, as the users like me can connect to OBIEE directly from the Power BI Service with ease!I request people with a similar need to upvote for this idea and get the Power BI team's attention to this idea asap.

Connector to query OBIEE report and subject areas directly. Where OBIEE can be a cloud based service with https connectivity

RE: Oracle business intelligence rpd integration

Currently working on integrating Power BI with OBIEE. There seems to be a known issue connecting via ODBC. This (sort of works) with a change in the advanced editor, but not consistently. Even then it requires a lot of scripting intervention. A dedicated connector to the Business Model would be a great help to our end users.
