For report creators that are unfamiliar with JSON or where reports need specific modifications, managing themes can be challenging. A probable and promising solution could be to allow report creators to define formatting settings directly from a visual, saving these styles to a theme for later use by the report creator, simplifying and streamlining the theme management process.

It is quite difficult to find a compromise for theme colors for both stacked bars (for example) where one needs to have distinct colors versus other charts where shades of the same color make more sense (there are only 8 colors, and we cannot specify which colors are to be used for a specific type of visual). Maybe this could be addressed via custom styles. It is so painful right now to create a theme that saves later manual interventions.

Yes, oh please yes, add to current theme would save me so much pain working with external tools and hand coding JSON.
